Norfolk, VA - (September, 2015) - S. L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is pleased to announce the successful negotiation of the following transactions for the Norfolk and Richmond Offices totaling $18.4 million in sales and lease volume on 230,535 square feet and approximately 7 acres of land:

NEW LEASES:

  • Planet Fitness has leased 40,000 square feet of retail space at Regency Hilltop in Virginia Beach, VA. Michael Gurley and Murray Rosenbach represented the landlord and Bill Overman, CCIM, Chris Zarpas, John Wessling, CCIM and Chris Devine represented the tenant.
  • Pariser Dermatology Specialists, Ltd. has leased 31,591 square feet of office space at the Smithfield Building in Norfolk, VA. John M. Profilet, SIOR represented the tenant.
  • American Freight of Virginia, LLC has leased 28,926 square feet of retail space at 9131 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, VA.  Reid Cardon represented the landlord and Nathan Shor represented the tenant.
  • Preferred Direct Marketing has leased 21,816 square feet of industrial space at 5935 Thurston Avenue in Virginia Beach, VA. Michael Myers represented the tenant.
  • Sorrentino Mariani & Company, Inc. has leased 13,820 square feet of industrial space at 3559-3563 Argonne Avenue in Norfolk, VA. Michael Myers handled the transaction.
  • Fastenal has leased 5,032 square feet of commercial space at 5650 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach, VA. Chris Hucke and Neal Sadler represented the tenant.
  • BJ's Fuel Station has ground leased an outparcel at J.A.N.A.F. Shopping Yard in Norfolk, VA. Michael Gurley represented the landlord.
  • Take 5 Oil Change has ground leased .68 acre at 1928 Laskin Road in Virginia Beach, VA. Chris Hucke and Michael Gurley represented the landlord.
  • Balance Therapeutic Massage has leased 2,000 square feet at Regency Hilltop in Virginia Beach, VA. Michael Gurley represented the landlord.
  • State Farm Insurance has leased 995 square feet of retail space at Greenbrier South Shopping Center in Chesapeake, VA. Matthew Nusbaum represented the tenant.
  • Darien Essentials has leased 841 square feet of retail space at Sycamore Square in Midlothian, VA. Bob Butcher represented the landlord.
  • Mi Lindo Nayarit Latin Store has leased 630 square feet of retail space at Suffolk Plaza in Suffolk, VA. Chris Hucke represented the landlord. 

SALE TRANSACTIONS:

  • Coastal Community Church has purchased a 55,856 square foot commercial building on 6.84 acres located at 101 Village Avenue in Yorktown, VA from Kroger Limited Partnership I for $5,000,000. Tommy Drew represented the seller.
  • When in Rome, LLC has purchased Garrison's Bar and Grill located at 401 Great Neck Road in Virginia Beach, VA from JNC Hospitality Group, Inc. Ross A. Weinstein, Esq. represented the buyer.

  • Longhorn Steakhouse has exercised its option on an outparcel location at WindsorMeade Marketplace in Williamsburg, VA. Richard Jacobson and Tyler Jacobson represented the landlord.
  • Impact Martial Arts has extended its lease on 4,350 square feet of retail space at Holland Windsor Shopping Center in Virginia Beach, VA. Murray Rosenbach represented the landlord.
  • Original Mattress Factory has extended its lease on 4,000 square feet of retail space at The Shops at Cedar Valley in Williamsburg, VA. Neal Sadler represented the landlord.
