NORFOLK, VA – (October 2017) S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announces that the Wells Fargo Center located at 440 Monticello Avenue in Norfolk, VA will illuminate in purple on Thursday, October 19th in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month occurs during the month of October and is sponsored and managed by the National Network To End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). During this month, many participants wear the color purple as a representation of their efforts to help fight against and end domestic violence.
The National Network to End Domestic Violence was founded more than 25 years ago to be the leading voice for survivors of domestic violence and their allies.
Please note that the Wells Fargo Center is unable to take outside requests for color illumination suggestions, but we often recognize national holidays and national and local awareness events for causes that have impacted our team members. These have included blue for Autism Awareness; pink for Breast Cancer Awareness; orange in support of the local Foodbank; gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness; purple for Pancreatic Cancer and white for Lung Cancer Awareness in remembrance of our beloved leader and partners, Alan Nusbaum and Mark Warlick.
